CACTUS CAKES

These are two cactus cakes I did for Eric's B-day on September 3, 2002.  This is the only picture I have and unfortunately it doesn't show the detail too well.  But the cakes actually looked like real cactus!  They are planted in real clay pots with a sandy mixture of graham cracker and oreo cookie crumbs.  Guaranteed to grow (your appetite) :-) !  One is lemon and the other is chocolate with buttercream icing and royal icing flowers and thorns.
