This is the cake I made for my sister, Denise's, 26th birthday on July 14th, 2002. It is version of the tiramisu cake I have done previously. French vanilla sponge cake with kahlua buttercream icing. The filling is comprised of kahlua and coffee concentrated soaking syrup, sweetened whipped coffee cream cheese and a generous layer of imported belgian bittersweet chocolate shavings. The daisies are made from royal icing. This cake was a lot of fun to do and I wanted the resulting design to be fresh, fun, and happy for a very special birthday. It obviously tasted good too! :-)
