This is the cake I made for my Mother's B-day on May 28th, 2001. This time I went all out on the baking and minimized the work on the decorating. The cake is a lemon chiffon cake with layers of lemon curd and lemon mousse filling. I iced the cake with a simple 7 minute frosting and lemon zest garnish. I added fresh flowers for a little extra color.
